Up date and rejuvenate
We are going to rejuvenate our blog, it will be slow going, but bear with us!

We met friends from Topeka the 29th of November, traveled with them to Rockport, TX. Arrived here the 30th and now plan to stay until the middle of February. Our original plans were to travel to Donna, TX the 1st of January, but as many of you know, our travel plans are 'in pencil' (always subject to change).
We've been seeing some of the sights and enjoying the weather. Been some rain, but they are needing it here, so can't say too much!
Posted some pictures and will try to stay current.
Stay warm.......;-)

This trip started on 'Mothers Day'( I did treat Barb to an out of state lunch), heading to a 'Retiree Rally' in Winfield, KS. Spent a week there, before traveling to Topeka for a short visit with friends.
Stopped off in Des Moines for couple of days, then on to the Amana colonies, where Barb 'stocked up' on various items.(Bread-butter-meat- etc)
We finally made it to Michigan on the 22nd of May. We were blessed again this year with having all three grandsons with us for a week.
Between the 2 grandsons here in Michigan, we're on the go about 4 nights a week, ballgames, concerts, etc., wouldn't have it any other way
Our plans, always written in pencil, are to leave here the 22nd, headed home, by way of Paducah, KY to another archery shoot, where we'll watch LaDonna, Kurt and Justin.

Long Overdue Update...............

We left home February 13, 10" snow still on the ground, headed to the "Daytona 500".
We went to the race, (never sat that close to the track) then decided to go to the Kennedy Space Center.
Never thought about the Shuttle launch that week. Had trouble finding campground, Barb got lucky with a cancellation, and we took a week at a RV Park near Titusvile, FL. We got to see the launch of the Discovery from our campground.
From there, traveled to Punta Gorda to visit friends, back along the Gulf coast to Louisiana. Worked in TX at a RV club board meeting, then on to a 'Retiree' camp out in Canton, TX.
Stopped on the way home to watch LaDonna/Kurt (Daughter/Son-in-Law) shoot in an archery competition in Paris, TX
Got home April 3.

O.K., a lot has happened to us since we've updated this 'Blog'. We are no longer homeless......we now have a house in Willard, MO. Not that we've spent that much time there yet, we hadn't even gotten completely unpacked, before we hit the road to warmer weather. We are enjoying the weather here in Mesa, AZ.
We've made a few trips to various places around this area. Since seeing a program on the building of Hoover Dam, we had placed seeing the dam close to the top of our 'Bucket List'. We have posted some pictures of our trip to the dam, even took the tour to the inside. Well worth the trip as far as I'm concerned.
The bridge they're building over the gorge is quit impressive in it's self. Had some delays because of weather mostly, but are figuring on completion next year.

Settled in......short term
O.K., we're here at a KOA campground west of Springfield for about 3 weeks. Then we'll make a trip to Topeka for a Fall State camp out and Huff N" Puff, which is a hot air balloon gathering.
We survived Niagara Falls with the 3 grandsons. Last year when Barb and I went, we didn't get as wet as we did this year......figure that! We have some pictures from the waterproof camera, but as yet, haven't figured how to get them on computer. I think they all enjoyed the trip, I know we did, having them together again.
Now Justin is at Fayetteville, AR, guess we're now Razorback fans for the University of Arkansas!

O.K., we're back on the road and we mean "BACK ON THE ROAD"! For those that don't know, we've sold our house and haven't as of yet found another. Fact is, we haven't even looked. House sold a little quicker than we figured, so we just stored our things and will go ahead and take the trips we had already planned. We'll settle in later!
Here we are in Topeka at a campground before heading to Sedalia, MO for a national camp out July 3-10. We have to be there June 30th as we are working in registration. The reason you see no activity is, like all the midwest, it's HOT outside. 98 degrees.....55% humidity......no wind.
We won't be able to post anything at Sedalia, but will update as we can. We will leave for Michigan when we leave the national campout. Keep cool..............Dal/Barb

Made it!

O.K., we've made the trip. Fought a little wind along the way, but we prevailed! We are now in Mesa, AZ Will travel next week to Casa Grande for a couple of weeks. Haven't taken a lot of pictures, as the weather hasn't been too cooperative. I'll post a few, more to come.
We came hunting warmer weather, the first picture was Sunday morning leaving Willcox, AZ for Mesa. In the second picture there wasn't snow on the peaks the night before!

Lake Orion

We made it to Lake Orion yesterday. Today we went geocaching and balloon chasing. The geocaching we had planned to do, the balloon chasing just happened! The boys enjoyed the geocaching and both did pretty good with the GPS. We found 4 caches, each working the GPS twice.
As we were heading in about 4:00, Barb spotted 3 balloons. Since we had a little free time, off we went to get closer. Ended up finding where 1 was setting down and the boys got a good close look at a Hot Air Balloon!
Tomorrow is football games at 5, so probably won't do much after church.

Michigan "Taters"
On our way up Friday, we met a few trucks loaded with potatoes.
After a little research on the internet, we found out Michigan, according to their potato website, produces more new and chip potatoes than any other state. After some "Private Investigating", we discovered some fields where they were still digging. That was our first job of the day, seeing if they were working. Sure enough, they were, may not be of interest to all of you, but we enjoyed watching something we had never seen. Those machines are pretty good size and dig (best we can figure) about 4-6 rows at a time. They dig, shake dirt, throw plants and debris, separate rocks and load the trucks, all at the same time! (Note the old military trucks!) Here's some pictures of the operation. Threw in the one of the sign, just because it was on the road beside where they were working, besides, how many have been to this little spot?

Sun coming up one morning
From the top, overlooking the resort
Coming down on the lift
Another view coming downO.K., we're on the road again, but just a short trip this time. Probably be gone about 3 weeks. No 5th wheel this time, driving the "Rocky Truck", burning gasoline instead of diesel fuel.
For you who don't know, when you have a fleet of pickups, you have to give them names so you can keep them straight. "Big Red" is the diesel used to pull the 5th wheel, the "Rocky Truck" was my Dads that we bought after he passed away, and last but not least "Rusty", my 1991 S-10 that I bought new and because of sentinmemtal vaule we still have.
Plan on staying here a few more days, then head down to Lake Orion to see those 2 boys.
We'll try to keep the blog updated, but you know how forgetful old folks are!!
